Types of Dance Classes
Ballet:
A staple for all dance and many sports. All ages 3 - adult. Our youngest dancers enjoy Ballet with our combo classes. Older students are offered all levels from Beginning Ballet to Advanced and Pointe.
Combo's:
Combo's consist of Tap, Ballet, Tumbling or jazz. Combo classes are especially good for the younger students, as the focus of the class leans toward the development of their attention span. Also, a great way to learn the basics in more than one dance form.
Creative Movement:
The emphasis here is on the youngest dancer (ages 2-4 years), whose love for dance may be just budding. Plenty of props and fun! Some tap, ballet, and tumbling.
Hip Hop:
A fun type of dancing performed by many Popstars (Brittany Spears, N'Sync, etc.) The sharp, calculated moves of Hip Hop are as fun to watch as they are to do. Enjoyed by children to adults.
Jazz:
The heart of all dance. You must excel in this form of dance to be on dance teams everywhere. Jazz, along with Ballet, is where you will learn how to perfect your pirouettes, foutes, and all other techniques.
Jumps and Leaps:
Goes along with all dance. This class will be taught on a cushioned gymnastics floor to prevent injury. A must for all dancers!!!
Theater (w/Jazz & Lyrical):
A Broadway style of dance with plenty of character: You will learn how to show expressions, and dance with a Broadway flair.
Lyrical:
One of the most beautiful forms of dance. It is a cross between Ballet and Jazz. Lyrical should be on your must take list.
Tap:
Nothing can beat the sounds of a good tap number. Once tap gets in your blood, you're hooked. Tap is one dance style you can hear as well as see performed. You will love it. Our combo's also have tap.
